About Us
Diana Gordon graduated from Linfield College with a BA in biology, and received a Masters in Teaching (MAT) from Lewis and Clark College. In 1998, while teaching biology at St. Mary's Academy in Portland, Oregon, Diana received the National Association of Biology Teachers (NABT) Outstanding Biology Teacher of the Year award for the state of Oregon. In 2001 she joined the Tech Support team at Vernier Software & Technology, a company that produces software and hardware for use in science education, as a biology specialist. During her years at Vernier she conducted many workshops throughout the country, training teachers in the use of Vernier technology. She is currently a Public Information Officer/Science Educator at the Oregon Health and Science University.
Steven Gordon, MD, received his BA in zoology from the University of California at Berkeley, and his MD from the University of California, Los Angeles Medical School. After graduating from medical school he and Diana moved to Oregon, where he completed an internal medicine residency at Oregon Health and Science University. Dr. Gordon is board certified in internal medicine and has maintained a full-time general internal medicine practice for 20 years. He continues to train second year medical students in a clinical setting, helping them to translate basic knowledge of physiology into clinical relevance.
